The legend of how Christmas stockings began goes like this...
A long time ago, there lived a poor man and his three beautiful daughters. He had no money pay for his daughter's weddings, and he was worried what would happen to them after he died. St. Nicholas was passing through the old man's village when he heard villagers talking about the girls. St. Nicholas wanted to help the old man but he wanted to keep it a secret. After dark he threw three bags of gold through the old man's window and one landed in a stocking which was drying by a fire. When the girls and their father woke up the next morning they found the bags of gold they were overjoyed. The girls were able to get married and live happily ever after.
Now, Christmas is now just around the corner and if you don't have spare bags of gold to stuff your stocking with then we are here to help. There is still time to pick up some last minute stocking fillers from our website. We have a great selection of small gifts that would be a perfect addition to any stocking. We have colouring pencils, diaries, notebooks, makeup mirrors, badges and enamel pin badges but unfortunately we don't sell satsumas.
